But before we get too deep into a long and somewhat complicated geographical history, you should know that Chase Point is home to 107 luxury condos for sale. The eight-story building is at 4301 Military Road, NW, at the corner of Western Avenue.
These are no cookie-cutter condos. Indeed, there are 70 different floor plans to choose from. The sizes vary widely, from studios at about 600 square feet all the way to three-bedroom residences that measure around 3,200 square feet. There are also some bi-level penthouse suites.
In addition to the 70 uniquely different layouts, residents enjoy premium hardwood and/or marble floors, along with open space designs, floor-to-ceiling windows, private outdoor spaces and en-suite bathrooms with luxury finishes. And when it comes to cooking, you can expect chef’s grade kitchens with granite counters and Viking stainless steel appliances.
Now, let’s get back to the region and its history for a moment. Friendship Heights dates back to a “friendship grant” that was given to colonists way back in the very early 1700s. The area was farmland until a streetcar line from Georgetown arrived, around 1900. At that point, residential development picked up on the DC side. The Maryland side developed a bit slower, and was dubbed the Village of Friendship Heights circa 1914.
Zoning laws in Friendship Heights were always loose, which led to an interesting hodgepodge of homes and businesses. These days, the community presents itself as a delightful blend of historic homes, newer luxury single-family homes for sale, condos and townhouses, and a host of upscale businesses. The retail sector lies primarily along Wisconsin Avenue with two malls, movie theatres, boutique ships, a Whole Foods and restaurants like Range by Bryan Voltaggio, Le Chat and Chad’s Friendship Heights.
There’s plenty of common amenities as well, such as secure garage parking, a front desk with concierge service, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a club room and a business conference center. And then there’s the fantastic location. Friendship Heights also has its own Metro rail station.
Condos for sale at Chase Point generally start around $800,000 and can climb to nearly $2 million. But you get a lot for your money and a great location. You can go shopping at Gucci, Jimmy Choo and Tiffany’s, then hit a great restaurant. And after your busy day, kick back and relax on your private terrace with a drink. You deserve the perks of life!
