Located at the corner of Georgia Avenue and Forest Glen Road in Maryland’s Montgomery County is the Forest Glen Metro Station. Providing Red Line service to commuters, this underground station is the deepest in the Washington DC Metrorail system.
Forest Glen is an upscale suburb within the larger Silver Spring area. For that reason, many real estate properties for sale near the Metro station are listed as Silver Spring.

The real estate market in Forest Glen is geared toward detached single-family homes for sale. That includes a lovely selection of Victorian and Queen Anne properties located in the neighborhood’s historic district.
The larger number of home were built more recently, however. Those include Capes, Colonial Revivals, Ramblers and Tudors from the post-World War II era, as well as newer custom construction. Single-family residences can range from the mid-six figures to over a million dollars.
There are also some competitively priced townhouses and condos for sale in the neighborhood. It should be noted that despite the presence of a separate Silver Springs Red Line Metro, some Silver Springs residents live closer to the Forest Glen station.

Forest Glen is just a few miles from the Washington, DC border. The community has a rich history indeed—going all the way back to 1687. The National Park Seminary at Forest Glen is a fascinating landmark and visitor attraction, dating back to a summer resort hotel built in 1887 as the Ye Olde Forest Inn.
These days, the community mixes history with contemporary appeal as a popular bedroom suburb with easy access to DC. Residents can either use the nearby Capital Beltway to commute, or ride on the Forest Glen Red Line.
