More about Properties for Sale near Crystal City Blue Line

Crystal City itself is a very urbanized community, with office towers, condos for sale and an underground shopping village. But residents from other nearby communities also avail themselves of the Metro Station. Those neighborhoods include Arlington Ridge, Virginia Highlands and Aurora Hills.

This means a wider variety of properties for sale than one might expect. There’s a whole host of architectural styles available in those residential communities, such as Colonial, Cape Cod, Tudor, Craftsman and Contemporary homes.

Pentagon City is also next-door, accounting for more high-rise buildings including luxury condo towers with lovely views of the Potomac River.

Additional Information about Crystal City

Crystal City, which is near the Ronald Reagan International Airport, was originally an industrial neighborhood that fell into disuse and decay. Developers cleaned the area up in the 1960s, building modern office and residential towers. The buildings were connected by underground towers, which led to the creation of a huge underground shopping village known as the Crystal City Shops.

The underground shops were designed with a retro “Victorian” feel, complete with old-style lampposts and cobblestone walkways. Today, Crystal City continues to evolve, with new above-ground features including parks and businesses.
