North Cleveland Park Real Estate, Washington DC
Located in the upper northwestern section of Washington, DC is a charming residential neighborhood known as North Cleveland Park—and yes, it lies to the north of Cleveland Park. Home for sale are on the pricy side here, but not exorbitantly so. Then again, there isn’t much of an inventory here currently—a lot of properties were snapped up over the last few years and this is the kind of neighborhood where you stay for a while.
The community was originally part of a massive estate built in 1793 by Maryland congressman Uriah Forest. During the late 1800s, President Grover Cleveland turned an old stone farmhouse into a summer estate—the area later became subdivided for residential development. Real estate for sale in North Cleveland Park is primarily of the detached single-family variety, although there are some majestic old apartment buildings along Connecticut Avenue that have been converted into condos for sale.
