Rosslyn is Prime Territory for Tall Buildings
The greatest concentration for Arlington high-rises is in the community of Rosslyn. The historic waterfront neighborhood is perched right on the Potomac River and is also directly across from Washington DC and landmarks such as the Washington Monument.
As a result, you have gleaming contemporary glass and steel structures offering amazing views, such as Turnberry Tower at 1881 N. Nash Street, just a few blocks from the water and steps from the Rosslyn Metro Station. Delivered in 2009, this 313-foot high-rise is currently the tallest condominium in Arlington, although new projects are in the works that will break that record.
The Waterview is almost as tall at 300 feet and is even closer to the river’s edge. The first 15 floors of the residential component are dedicated to a hotel, with floors 16 through 31 featuring elegant and modern condos for sale.
Among the many other high-end condominiums in Rosslyn are Prospect House and The Weslie.
Other Arlington Areas for High-Rise Buildings

There’s five urban communities along this stretch, each with its own Metro station, and each seamlessly connecting with its next-door neighbors. Among the many popular tall buildings are The Odyssey in the Courtyard neighborhood and The Residences at Liberty Center in Ballston.
But these are not the only communities in the county to boast high-rise condominium buildings. You’ll also find them along Lee Highway in North Arlington, and in the many neighborhoods lining Columbia Pike.
And don’t forget all the gleaming skyscrapers in Pentagon City and Crystal City. Both of these communities are close to the Potomac River, and each has its own Metro station as well as upscale shopping and entertainment.
