More about Properties for Sale near the Addison Road Silver Line
While Seat Pleasant is actually a small, independent city, it is not quite as well-known as Capitol Heights which is right at the DC/Maryland border. All of the communities around the Addison Road station are in Prince George’s County. The real estate market in Prince George’s was especially affected by a housing downturn that began about a decade ago. Since then, prices have had a gradual rebound, but it’s still prime territory for buyers.
The neighborhoods around the Addison Road station feature a diverse range of homes, condos and townhouses. You’ll find charming Craftsman and Victorians alongside newer construction. Prices have recently run from the very low six figures up to mix-six figure territory.
Additional Information about the Area
This particular area may not have quite the same allure of Downtown DC or Old Town Alexandria, for example. This isn’t a hotbed for five-star dining or overpriced craft cocktails. But Capitol Heights, Seat Pleasant and the other nearby communities are on a path toward revitalization nonetheless.
Plus, the real estate bargains and the close proximity to the nation’s capital cannot be ignored. This hilly area with views of DC was first developed in the very early 1900s. More than a century later, these modest communities are trending again as buyers look for the next great bargain.
But a word of caution—the inventory is already tightening as the market here heats up. To learn more, call District Partners at Compass, 202-798-3600.
