Kensington, MD Homes For Sale

Small-town charm with beautiful antique Victorian homes for sale—that’s what you’ll find in Kensington, Maryland. You can toss in quiet tree-lined streets, local parades and festivals, a delightful farmers market and plenty of community pride. It sounds pretty idyllic, doesn’t it?

If homes styles in this smallish community seem straight out of a Norman Rockwell painting, there’s a reason. Once farm country, the arrival of the railroad in 1873 helped boost development. Twenty years later the town was developed as a Victorian community, giving it a unique and picturesque sense of style.

Are all homes for sale in Kensington of the Victorian design? No, not at all—you can also find other styles typical to Washington Metro and built of a period of time, including Colonial, Cape, Rambler, Split-level and new custom homes with typical quasi-traditional architecture. That said, Victorian influences from antique homes to newer models remain substantial. For more information about Kensington, MD homes for sale, give us a call!
