Additional Info About Jenkins Row Condominium Residences
Jenkins Row was shepherded by the SK&I Architectural Design Group, and offers an interesting blend of modern glass and steel, with Streamline Moderne influences. The latter movement was an offshoot of Art Deco and is notable for its curvilinear shapes—such as the building’s northeastern corner. The architecture transitions from glass and steel along the front facade to more traditional brick themes on the remaining sides. From the air, the mixed-use complex has an abstract polygonal shape and a huge interior courtyard.
But what about the condos for sale themselves? Inside you’ll find 247 one, two and three-bedroom residences ranging in size from 680 to 1518 square feet. Some units also have dens. List prices generally run from the high $300s to $700s. These attractive residences have open designs, hardwood floors, balconies, crown molding and floor-to-ceiling windows. The gourmet kitchens offer granite countertops, large cabinets in a variety of finishes, and stainless steel appliances.
The building itself has much to offer with creature comforts such as a large club room with bar, TV, fireplace and billiards. There’s also a business center, a state of the art gym and a rooftop terrace. Out in the courtyard you’ll find waterfalls, a reflecting pool and a large gazebo. And then there’s the ground-floor commercial space with a brand new Harris Teeter Grocery! Imagine just popping downstairs to do your market errands?
The neighborhood is another intriguing aspect—Jenkins Row is within walking distance to the Potomac Metro Station and also near to RFK Stadium with its DC United Soccer. The ever-popular Eastern Market is also close by, as are all the new attractions at the Navy Yard and other Anacostia Riverfront developments. Take in a major league baseball game at Nationals Stadium or wine and dine along the water. Jenkins Row is just another example of modern condos for sale in Washington, DC.
