Not many years ago, 16th Street Heights—also spelled “Sixteenth” for those who care about such things—was referred to as a “sleeper neighborhood.” Nestled against Rock Creek Park in northwest Washington, DC, 16th Street Heights real estate for sale has gained in popularity since then. The traditionally blue collar neighborhood of 16th was once the site of the massive Maple Grove Farm. In the 1850s the land was purchased by a prominent DC horticulturist and landscape architect named John Hennessey Saul who decided to subdivide and develop the land, calling it Saul’s Addition. But, they tend to be situated around the neighborhood’s borders.
