Dating back to 1700 and colonial plantations, this community was originally known as the Patuxent Hundred for its original settlers. More About the Burtonsville Real Estate Market

Despite its history, Burtonsville's major residential expansion didn't occur until the 1950s, with an even bigger construction boom during the 1980s. There is also an ongoing bump in new home starts. Burtonsville condos for sale start in the very low six figures and climb all the way to the high six figures for luxurious multilevel townhomes. And while detached single-family homes for sale include modestly priced Ramblers and Split-levels, the larger portion of the inventory is characterized by Colonials, including a lot of large custom homes with prices topping out in the seven-figure range.

There are plenty of local restaurants, including Asian, Cuban, Ethiopian and Mexican cuisines. There's also the requisite Starbucks, along with a Giant supermarket and the delightful Dutch Country Farmers Market. It's worth noting that large sections of Burtonville, MD remain undeveloped, leaving plenty of room for future growth and new homes and condos for sale. But it's also nice to have so much in the way of natural surroundings, including large parks plus untouched land all along the Patuxent River.
