Burtonsville is an affluent community in Maryland, with a population of about 13,000, spread out over a spacious eight square miles with plenty of natural splendor. Bordering the Patuxent River to the north, this town boasts a lengthy history and is located in Montgomery County. Despite its history, Burtonsville's major residential expansion didn't occur until the 1950s, with an even bigger construction boom during the 1980s. There is also an ongoing bump in new home starts.
