There’s a small silver of condos for sale in Barcroft—about 15 percent of all properties in the community. They’re most 1980s vintage townhouses along with some older apartment buildings that have gone the conversion route. Prices typically start in the low six figures and climb from there. As for single-family homes for sale, they tend to list in a fairly mid-to-high six figure range.
This is a neighborhood with a close-knit feel—nice tree-lined streets and adjacent park land with Glencaryln Park and Four Mile Run along the western border and Alcova Heights Park on the east. There’s also Barcroft Park with its Sports and Fitness Center, lighted athletic courts and great jogging trails. Most retail tends to be along the Pike and Barcroft residents, like many others in the area, are watching to see when the long-awaited Arlington Streetcar line is actually going to arrive.
