American University Park Condos For Sale
The real estate market in American University Park typically focuses on large single-family homes. But there are also some luxury condos for sale. Located in Washington, DC’s far Northwest quadrant, this quiet enclave with its towering oak trees is quite affluent, and butts up against the Maryland border.
The community is logically associated with the notable American University but the main campus is actually next-door in Tenleytown. Other surrounding neighborhoods include Spring Valley and Friendship Heights.

American University Park Neighborhood Information
Once verdant farmland, American University Park was primarily developed from the late 1920s to the early 1940s. The post-World War II era brought additional construction, though not at the same pace. In addition to gracious homes and a smattering of upscale condos and townhouses, there is also Turtle Park, Friendship Recreation Center and Fort Bayard Park (the latter is the neighborhood’s far northern corner).
Residents also enjoy restaurants and other businesses along Wisconsin Avenue just a few blocks beyond the neighborhood’s western border, as well as the super-popular Wagshal’s Market & Deli at the eastern border (Spring Valley).
Real Estate in American University Park
Condos for sale in American University Park tend to be pricy, with the few available listings usually starting in the mid-six figures and quickly climbing to past the million-dollar mark.
The large Greenbriar complex offers luxury living and a close proximity to the AAU-Tenleytown Metro. The very trendy and recently completed Cityline at Tenley is technically considered to be in Tenleytown but is right at the Tenleytown/American University Park border.
There are a few other condominiums as well, including some very posh townhomes. To learn more about the popular American University Park neighborhood, call District Partners at Compass, at 202-798-3600.
