The Marvin Condos For Sale , Washington DC
The Marvin is an interesting type of condo conversion in Washington, DC. This 1930 historic building was formerly known as The Woburn Apartments—a residential rental building in the Kalorama Triangle enclave, just west of Adams Morgan. But in 2012, developers went through a phase known as the Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Act (TOPA). In all, 23 tenants exercised the right to purchase their units.
There are 37 residences altogether at this attractive old brownstone. That meant that the remaining 14 studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units were completely gutted, remodeled and offered up as condos for sale. That process resulted in five-inch wide-plank crater oak floors, and completely open ultra-contemporary custom kitchens with custom-painted cabinets, Silestone counters and stainless steel appliances.
