Penn Quarter Real Estate, Washington DC
Directly between the White House and Capitol Hill is a revitalized historic district known as the Penn Quarter. Also referred to as Old Downtown, this is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Washington, DC and is known for great restaurants and nightlife, shops and galleries, and highly desirable condos for sale. After all, politicos can roll out of bed and literally walk two blocks to work.
Penn Quarter has changed over the years. Many of the old buildings along Pennsylvania Avenue have been torn down in the name of progress, replaced by new construction and modern behemoths. That’s not to say there aren’t any antiques left—just that there’s also a lot of glass and steel. But who’s complaining with all the amenities to enjoy in these upscale condos for sale—maple floors and soaring ceilings, circular staircases, stainless steel kitchens and balconies with amazing views.
