Now more than 70 years old, this former apartment complex serves as condos for sale, offering a nice location and a variety of floor plans. There are 278 residences altogether, ranging from studios to two bedroom and two baths, with sizes ranging from 544 to 1400 square feet.
Condos for sale at Gateway Georgetown in Washington, DC have typically been listing in a range from $300,000 to $650,000. The studio units are somewhat rare, however, as are active listings in general for that matter. That aside, these gateway getaways offer tons of charm with either original parquet floors or newer strip hardwood. The interesting layouts include kitchens that are often tucked into bay alcoves.
This huge complex has something of a U-shape, but with lots of wings and protrusions. There’s a giant courtyard inside the U with a manicured lawn and trees that is actually about the size of two football fields put together. The pet-friendly Gateway is also set into parkland, giving it the appearance of green oasis inside DC’s 20007 zip code area.
Common amenities include a great lobby, a fitness center, garden, extra storage, and common laundry facilities for those heavy wash days. The Gateway Georgetown is right by the Buffalo Bridge, which crosses over the greenbelt and stream. And despite the secluded appeal, the Dupont Metro Station is within walking distance! And of course, Georgetown’s famous shops and restaurants are also nearby. This truly is a gateway community.
