Crescent Hills Homes For Sale, Arlington VA
Tucked up into North Arlington, Virginia, is the small and affluent community of Crescent Hills. With its winding tree-lined streets, the subdivision is closely associated with the larger Rock Spring neighborhood, and in fact, shares the Rock Spring Civic Association. It’s not nearly as well-known, however. And that’s just fine with local residents who cherish the relative anonymity along with their pleasant suburban homes.
Crescent Hills is bordered by N. Williamsburg Boulevard on the north, N. Harrison Street to the east, N. Yorktown Boulevard along the southern edge and N. John Marshall Drive to the west. It’s not far from the Fairfax county line. It’s also an easy drive from Arlington’s great shops and restaurants—just head south on N. Harrison Street and you’ll soon come across the Rosslyn-Ballston Corridor.

The neighborhood dates back to early farm land and you can still find a few old historic homes here and there. But the bulk of residential development occurred during the 1950’s, courtesy of the prolific Broyhill & Sons Corporation. There’s only about 250 properties here, and many are original Colonials, Ramblers, Split-levels and some bungalows. More recently, there has been a spate of new construction, including teardowns of older homes, replaced by larger custom residences, often featuring traditional architecture such as new Colonials and Arts & Crafts.
Homes for sale in this upscale but relatable community typically start in the mid-six figures, climbing quickly into seven-figure territory. Surrounding neighborhoods include Yorktown, Stratford and Williamsburg. Commuting is a snap via the Capital Beltway and I-66. Among the popular schools in the area are Nottingham Elementary, Williamsburg Middle School and Yorktown High School.
There’s lovely nearby greenspace, such as Rock Spring Park and Chestnut Hills Park. Plus, the ever-popular Washington Golf and Country Club is close by. Take out a membership and hobnob with DCs ruling class!
