Condominiums at Cameron Station Boulevard, Alexandria, VA
The Condominiums at Cameron Station Boulevard are one of the newer components at the popular Cameron Station community in Alexandria, Virginia. The large, square structure takes up an entire block, and is made up of four joined wings with an interior courtyard. There are 148 one and two-bedroom condos in the development with floor plans ranging from 1,039 to 1,800 square feet.
Cameron Station itself is a former U.S. military base dating back to 1941. It was long the home of the Defense Logistics Agency but was eventually shuttered in 1995. The land was subsequently redeveloped, with the first of five phases delivered in 1999. The master-planned community in the West End is now comprised of some 2,000 residences with condos, townhouses and even some detached single-family homes for sale. The overall design evokes a small town USA sensibility with architectural styles drawing on 18th and 19th century influences. Winding brick sidewalks and old-fashioned lampposts also contribute to the charming vibe.
The Condominiums at Cameron Station Boulevard were completed in 2007. And, despite the overall throwback style of the neighborhood, the residences themselves offer a very modern feel inside with open space designs, huge windows and vaulted ceilings. There’s a wide variety of models, some of which have lofts and/or dens. Hardwood floors run throughout the main living space with carpeting in the bedrooms. Residents enjoy private balconies, bay windows and deluxe kitchens with granite counters and upscale appliances. All units also come with frontloading washer/dryer stacks, parking and extra storage. Recent list prices have ranged from the mid $300s to mid $500s. Condo owners also get to enjoy a state of the art fitness center.
This upscale condo complex is nicely located near Armistead Booth Park. There’s also the huge Ben Brenman Park with its awesome lake. In-between is a host of amenities, including the Cameron Club with its swimming pool, kitchen, indoor gym and fitness center. There’s also tennis courts and athletic fields in the community, along with tot lots and Main Street businesses, including the Main Street Market, Cameron Café, Café Pizzailo and more.
