Bloomingdale Condos, Washington DC
The majority of condos for sale in Washington, DC’s Bloomingdale neighborhood stem from historic row houses. This is a community especially well known for its rich variety of narrow conjoined buildings.
The neighborhood was planned and subdivided in the 1890s, coinciding with the arrival of electric streetcars. But it wasn’t until the 1920s that a real expansion occurred, including a large number of row houses from famed builder Harry Wardman.
But there’s more than just row houses here. You can also find old apartment buildings that have been renovated and converted to condos, as well as a slowly growing number of new developments, including mixed use structures with ground floor retail and new condos above.
