Beverley Hills, VA Homes For Sale
The gracious subdivision of Beverley Hills in Alexandria, Virginia is sometimes spelled “Beverly Hills,” but the correct orthography does indeed contain an “e” before the “y.” Perhaps there’s a deliberate attempt to differentiate the east coast version from the one out in Los Angeles, California. Or maybe there’s no connection at all. Who knows?
What we can say for sure is that this upscale residential neighborhood in the northern part of the city offers a delightful variety of homes for sale, as well as organized events and an authentic sense of local pride. First developed in the 1920s, home building continued to expand over the next two decades. The post-World War II era brought a decrease in new housing starts though not a complete halt. And while the vast majority of residences are detached single-family homes, there are also some condos and townhouses along the northern and western edges.
