Arlandria’s residential development dates back to the early 1900s with construction continuing at a modest pace until the post-World War II era. Home building spiked during the 1950s and 1960s—often referred to as the mid-century era—slowing again after that. Most recently, there has been another surge with new condo construction.
The triangular-shaped community is roughly bordered by Four Mile Run to the north, Route 1 to the east and West Glebe Road to the southwest. Neighbors include Beverely Hills, Warwick Village and Lynnhaven, all of which are to the south.
