This ornate six-story building is located in the small residential enclave of Wakefield, which is generally considered to lie within the larger Forest Hills neighborhood. DC’s With 93 residential units, 4707 Connecticut Avenue is set far back from the street, with a cobblestone circular driveway leading to a long central walkway with courtyard surroundings. The facade is accentuated by jutting “clinker bricks”, and also features limestone arches and decorative lintel blocks.

This pass-through cooking spaces have tiled floors and unique cabinets with glass end doors and overhead entry copper latticework. And while French doors once led to screened-in porches, those spaces have since been glassed-in as solariums.
Renovations have continued since the first conversion, both to common areas like the lobby, hallways and front drive, but to residences as well. The most recent work was done in 2011 and 2014. Condos for sale in this unique building typically start in the mid $300s and climb from there. Other amenities include front desk service, bike storage, laundry facilities for those extra-heavy wash days when your own washer/dryer stack isn’t enough, storage lockers, bike racks and an outdoor picnic area.
