More About Wesley Heights
The neighborhood is bordered by Nebraska Avenue to the west and New Mexico Avenue to the east. The elongated Glover-Archbold Park winds past the southeastern edges with the smaller Battery Kemble Park to the west. There is also the eponymously named Wesley Heights Park at the neighborhood’s southern edge. In addition to the Palisades, other neighbors include Foxhall Crescent, Cathedral Heights and Glover Park.
Wesley Heights is one of the earliest master planned communities in our country, developed in the 1920s by the W.C. and A.N. Miller Development Company (founded in 1912 and still active today). The Millers also developed the neighborhoods of American University Park and Spring Valley.
