Rosslyn is a neighborhood long in transition. Once home to brothels and gambling halls and frequented by robbers, it turned to industry, and then to waste by the 20th century before cleanup efforts and a remaking as a business-oriented place with some of the tallest commercial skyscrapers in Washington Metro. Most recently, it has again been reimagined by the county as a more walk-friendly place with a greater emphasis on upscale residences, restaurants and upscale shopping boutiques.
