Representing the pinnacle of luxury when it comes to upscale condos for sale is Turnberry Tower. Perched near the Potomac River in Arlington’s Rosslyn waterfront neighborhood, the 26-story glass and steel was designed by Robert Swerdroe, together with ACG Architects. It remains the tallest residential building in the Washington Metro region, and is known for its superb views of the river and the DC skyline on the other side. There’s also tons of amenities to enjoy, including a heated indoor swimming pool, 24/7 front desk and concierge service, a screening room with catering kitchen, valet service and more. The Rosslyn community has long been known as the Gateway to Arlington, due to its location on the banks of the Potomac. The Rosslyn Metro Station is an easy stroll from Turnberry Tower. It is the first of five Metro stations connecting a string of urban villages along the trendy Rosslyn-Ballston Corridor, known for its scintillating array of restaurants, sports bars, upscale retail, and entertainment.

There are a number of active listings at Turnberry Tower currently. We have selected four apartments for our October spotlight, representing a variety of prices and floorplans. To view the entire curated collection, simply click here.

The most expensive active listing at Turnberry Tower is Unit #2309. This three-bedroom, 3.5-bath apartment with 2,655 square feet of living space is priced at $2,799,000, representing a sizable reduction from its original price of $2,969,000. The east-facing “I” model features a private elevator, porcelain tiles, giant windows, a den and over $80,000 in upgrades from the current owner. The custom wall finishes are quite impressive, and the open gourmet kitchen boats granite counters, Snaidero Italian cabinetry and Miele and Sub-Zero stainless steel appliances. A sweeping balcony affords views of the river and the Arlington skyline, while the massive owner’s suite must be seen to be appreciated.

Unit #2408 is currently listed at $2,445,000, representing a recent cut of $50,000 from its previous price. The 2,039 square foot contemporary flat has two bathrooms, a den and 2.5 baths. As is the case with many Turnberry Tower apartments, it comes with direct elevator access. Notable touches include an exposed limestone wall in the main living area, a new marble master bath featuring a glass surround steam shower and deep-soaking tub, custom built-ins and designer wall finishes. A 400-foot balcony boasts river views and is accessible from most rooms. A laundry room, walk-in closets, two parking spaces and an extra-large storage unit are among the other bonuses.

Unit #1411 came to market at the end of September and remains available at $1,950,000. With two bedrooms, 2.5 baths and a den/office that can also function as a third bedroom, this 2,229 square foot residence has its own unique look. In part, that’s a function of the beautiful bamboo floors that are quite different from the typical Turnberry tiles. Other features include designer wall finishes, a private elevator, giant floor-to-ceiling windows, an expansive balcony, marble baths, a laundry room and garage parking. The gourmet kitchen with its upscale appliances recessed into panelized glossy cabinetry, as well as a central island, is a great place to cook and socialize at the same time

While Turnberry is primarily known for its elite million dollar apartments, there are also some competitively priced deals available. A case in point is Unit #206 with an $800,000 asking price. The one-bedroom flat with two full baths and a den, offers a spacious 1,404 square foot layout. The den is large enough to function as a guest bedroom, but will also function well as a work-from-home office during the current climate. When you need a breath of fresh air during your busy day, just step out onto the terrace! Among the other features is a gourmet kitchen with granite counters and Miele appliances that are recessed into panelized Snaidero Cherry cabinets. Parking and storage is included.

The Rosslyn neighborhood has a long and colorful history, dating back to its origins as a Colonial era ferry boat landing. These days, it is quite modern, and continues to evolve through a Rosslyn Sector Plan aimed at increasing the walk-friend live, shop and play lifestyle experience. Among the many restaurants within walking distance of Turnberry Tower are Mezza Kitchen, Open Road Rosslyn, CAVA and Sweetgreen. Also worth noting is Salt, an intriguing upscale bar pairing craft cocktails with inspired cuisine, and nestled underground below the Open Road restaurant.
